HVTL employs State-Of-The-Art technology and processes for manufacturing all major Gears and transmission Shafts. Components manufactured in-house include Spur & Helical Gears, Synchronizers, Drive shafts and other splined and Stepped transmission shafts besides Gear Box casing and covers.

Infrastructure for design and proving of jigs & fixture through well-equipped Tool-Room, Eco-Friendly modern Heat Treatment, and a self sustained Metrology Laboratory support business needs and match customers’ expectations. The company has the capability to bring together world-class products & services with creative and innovative support, based on extensive process engineering expertise.

HVTL has proven skills for manufacturing of Gear-boxes from component level to assembly and testing under load.

Our factory has a total of 370 machines comprising a mix of Special Purpose Machines, General Purpose Machines and CNC machines, which are capable of carrying out a wide variety of operations . A cross-section of the machines in operation at HVTL are :

Assembly operations are facilitated by dedicated moving conveyors and final products are tested in simulated load condition before final dispatch.

A full fledged Heat Treatment shop with State-Of-The-Art environment friendly technology supports our manufacturing operations. Throughput time for processing components in Heat Treatment shop : 32 hours

Facilities include:

Cycle time of 400 kg CCH furnace : 15 min/cycle
Capacity: 8640 Tons/Year
Cycle time for 50 kg CCH furnace : 30 min/cycle
Capacity: 1800 Tons/Year

Products processed in Heat Treatment are:

1. Gear box components : Speed gears, Main shaft, Counter shaft gears, Counter shaft and Drive shafts 2. Steering worm and nuts
3. Axle components : Crown wheels, Axle shaft gears, pinions, bevel gears 4. Tools and fixture components

Tool Room Facilities:

HVTL has a well equipped tool-room to produce both high precision & general tool room jobs within shortest possible lead times.

Our Tool Room is well equipped with

Jig Boring (2 M/cs) Turning Section (15 M/cs)
Milling Section ( 17 M/cs) Grinding Section ( 8 M/cs )
Welding & Brazing Section.

The above facilities are manned by highly skilled manpower with requisite experience.

Tool Regrinding Facilities:

Our Tool Re-grinding section is self sustained with a wide variety of sophisticated machines which includes a CNC Hurth Shaver Regrinder & a WIDMA 5-axis Tool & Cutter Grinder.

Our capabilities pertaining to regrinding operations includes:

Hobs Shaving Cutters
Shapers Spline Milling Cutters
Broach regrinding and setting Milling cutters/drills/reamers.
Form milling cutters

HVTL is a TS 16949 certified company and extensively uses Six sigma methodology of Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control used along with its associated analytical and statistical tools for driving improvements on all critical to quality parameters derived from external customer requirements.

Salient features of our quality assurance system are outlined below

Emphasis on customer relationship management through intensive interactions at all levels. Continuos improvement as its core focus driven by cost quality and delivery requirements of customers.
Modeled on APQP (Advanced Product Quality planning procedure of QS 9000) and ensures defect free product introduction. Kaizen is used extensively for productivity improvement and cycle time reduction.

HVTL aims for exceptional quality standards to succeed in the sphere of it's product and services quality.

Each test is performed to rigid procedures, which are aimed at integrating a life-time of actual operation into a realistic test window.

All inspections are carried out in accordance with documented specification quality plan and control using the latest Metrology Equipment. Some of them are listed below:

Besides HVTL extensively uses in-process gauging, Pneumatic gauging and special gauging as per the process requirement across the plant to ensure product quality at all points.
